The McGuire Falcons 4-H Hiking Club is one of several 4-H Outdoor Adventures activities. We spend a lot of our time walking around outside and having fun. The Falcons take advantage of the woods around the Youth Center to work on basic skills. We have also visited Whites Bogs Park, Island Beach State Park, Rancocas State Park, Sandy Hook Experimental Station and many other local outdoor locations.
Picking boots, making trail snacks, reading a map, using a GPS and respecting the local environment are just a few of the activities we do. Weather permitting, there will be a winter survival course and several overnight camping trips this year. Most of the activities are free of cost or require a small amount for personal snacks, if desired. There will be a few activities that require a nominal fee for admission.
