Part of the Outdoor Adventures 4-H curriculum, the McGuire Falcons 4-H Fishing Club provides opportunities for youth to develop fishing skills and have fun. During the months of milder weather, the club goes on weekly trips to local fishing holes such as Laurel Pond, Willow Pond and Smithville Park. When the weather is not conducive to fishing, we practice setting up our tackle and casting in the Youth Center. This summer, we are planning to try an ocean fishing experience.
The Falcons Fishing Club is actively seeking new members. If you do not have
your own tackle or want to try out angle before buying your own gear, we have
equipment you can borrow.
If you’ve ever wanted to try fishing or just want to hang out with a bunch of other youth who enjoy fishing, come join us! Adults with, or without, children are encouraged to come out and learn about the sport or share their knowledge with us.
